Abuja 3 September 2011 -- The WHO Regional Director for Africa Dr Luis Gomes Sambo arrived in Abuja on Saturday 3 September 2011 to visit victims of the bomb attack on the United Nations house.
On August 19th 2011, at the State House, Freetown, Sierra Leone, The fifth National AIDS Council meeting was chaired for the fifth consecutive time by H.E. the President of the Republic of Sierra Leone Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma.
In it's final report of 2004, the TRC as part of its recommendations requested the Government to provide reparations to non combatant victims of the conflict.

On the 14th July, UNIPSIL Human Rights Section (HRS) and the Human Rights Commission (HRCSL) hosted the Human Rights Working Group meeting (HRWG). The meeting discussed developments on the Universal Periodic Review process (UPR).
UNIPSIL HRS provides training on Sexual and Gender Based Violence for Paramount Chiefs from the Eastern province and training on Human Rights Based Approach to Development for Councilors from the Western rural and urban area.
